As per the Cambridge dictionary, "Education" is defined as - the process of teaching or learning, especially in a school or college, or the knowledge that you get from this. But the year 2020 as we have known it willingly or unwillingly, forced the world to stay put and stay indoors. When the world was at a halt, we learnt new ways to work i.e. work from home. We learnt new ways to learn, EduTech was re-born and made the star of the Education sector globally. We learnt new ways to greet each other. Our grandparents learnt how to answer and make video calls. Everyone learnt how to clean the house when the house help is not available. Tik-Tok and Reels made some stars amongst us while working at home and cooking and experimenting with new dishes. But our kids, the future generation of this great nation learnt what learning from home means. Their learning did not stop even when the Indian Railways stopped for the first time in the history of India. ​Be it any subject any learning or fun activity, everyone was learning online from someone or the other. But what happened after 9 months of Janta Curfew, Lockdown and Un-Lock? The Ed-Tech or the Educational Technological companies providing online classes to our kids, our nephews and nieces became a great success in 2020. Yes, their number grew 10X in this pandemic phase. In simple terms of economics, because of the demand, the supply had to be met. ​ New skills such as Coding, programming and allied technical fields were introduced to kids in a very interactive and playful manner. Kids welcomed them with all their hearts and creativity. For the first time, most of the parents in India saw that Coding can be done by kids too. The age of a child did not matter this time, be they 6 or 18, so many of them learnt how to create an application, game, website etc. ​ But who knows how many Edu-Techs' are there now, which one is best suitable for your child?
